How to Prepare Your House Before a Professional Soft Wash Service in Vancouver WA
If you’ve booked a soft wash for your house, there are a few simple things you can do ahead of time to make the job go smoother and get the best results.
I’ve been doing soft washing since 2020 (ProSoaks since 2022), and homeowners who prepare a little always end up happier with the final outcome.
Here’s my straightforward preparation checklist:
Close All Windows and Doors Make sure everything is shut tight. We use low pressure, but it’s still best to keep water from entering your home.
Move Any Outdoor Furniture and Decor or anything you may not want to get wet away from the house. This gives us better access and protects your stuff from any overspray.
Unplug any outdoor lights, speakers, or extension cords. We’ll work around them safely, but it’s better if they’re off.
Trim Back Plants and Bushes If you have shrubs or plants right against the house, trim them back a bit so we can reach the siding properly.
Remove or Secure Loose Items Put away kids’ toys, tools, and anything else in the yard that could get in the way.
Let Us Know About Any Special Concerns If you have delicate flowers, a vegetable garden, or sensitive paint, tell us ahead of time so we can take extra care.
